Smyrna School Students Being Sent Home Following Bomb Threats

10:30 a.m.: The Smyrna School District is canceling classes for the rest of today after two bomb threats were called in to the central office this morning.

District Superintendent Deborah Wicks says all schools have been evacuated; she says students who ride buses are being sent home by bus; students who do not ride buses are being held in a safe area of their school for parents to pick them up.

Police are on the scene investigating the threats.

Do they need to make the day up like a snow day? They should. That would cut down on this type of activity.
