I just don't understand how anyone with half a brain can vote for someone that can't keep their own life and finances in control and yet they expect them to do it for county residents. Yes Joe, I see in the court records that she had a judgment against her for stiffing one of her doctors and that her City of Salisbury payroll checks were garnished to satisfy the judgment. And she wants us to elect her so she can manage the city's finances. I DON'T THINK SO.

Oh please don't forget Josh Hastings for District 3 because he was put up to run by Jake Day, Chuck Cook and Jim Ireton as well. You can bet the Democrats will find some National money to finance their campaigns. They have been buying elections for several years now.

Ok now she is to good for the City so Jim Ireton, Chuck Cook and Jake Day have no one better to put in the County Council at Large position other than Laura Mitchell!
Think about this Laura Mitchell is unemployed. And as far as I know she has never been employed. She put on her CV while running for City Council that she is going to college to obtain her CPA. Well how long does it take to get your CPA and get a job? I know many people that go to college and work. She lives in Subsidized Section 8 housing and receives housing vouchers to pay her rent. Those vouchers are for single mothers who are low income residents. I agree with the low income, but she is functionally capable of working. Also the criteria for the voucher is to have small children which hers are now grown and running from the law. Another criteria is being a single mom and not married. She is Married to Miguel Mitchel who was employed at Salisbury University making a nice salary as a Chemistry professor. That itself disqualifies her for the Section 8 housing voucher.
Miguel Mitchel is now unemployed and to lazy to look for a job(just like his wife). Now stay with me on this. Unemployed means no income. He is unemployed because he was fired for sexual harassment. This isn't anything new. He was fired from a college in Pa. or NJ and then the liberal institute Salisbury University hires him and a google search would have been all the back ground investigation you would have needed. I bet Laura is proud of her registered sex offender husband. He is unemployed, yes I said no job. They are eating steaks with their EBT cards.
Wicomico County is a large rural county with a population of nearly 100,000 people. Historically the County Council race expenditures for those elected have ran from $10,000 to $36,000. So with that said how can an unemployed woman that doesn't pay her bills and on welfare, housing vouchers, Medicaid and EBT cards afford to run for an at large County Council raise? Makes you go HMMMM! You've got me. There is a lot of ground to cover and she is going to need a lot of yard signs and large campaign signs. Who is going to pay for this? It was noted on numerous posts that she and her husband have several judgments against them. If there are any funds in her campaign account can the courts tap into her accounts to satisfy their judgments?
Jim Ireton, Chuck Cook and Jake Day is this the best you can do in your attempts to take over the County now that you have taken over the City? Seriously Wicomico County can't afford to buy into these corrupt politicians who live off entitlements and steal from the tax payers. Yes Laura Mitchell is guilty of stealing from the tax payers.
Do not vote for Laura Mitchell, Kirby Travers, Ron Pagano, and Josh Hastings. They are part of the corrupt Wicomico County Democrat Club.
I don't care about her looks, who she's married to, etc... I care about what she brings to the county. And that is nothing. No person, who receives ANY government funds, should be allowed to hold a position handling taxpayer monies. PERIOD. You get EBT? Disqualified. You get WIC? Disqualified. You get SNAP? Disqualified. You get Unemployment? Disqualified. You get social security? Disqualified.
That's what democrats do best, campaigning to bring in money that can be skimmed off for personal use with a good disguise.
In my opinion, anyone holding an elected office should have to resign that position if she/he opts to run for another elected office. I think this should apply to all levels of government.
I agree 7:25. She's not been shown to behave in a responsible manner. She's just made poor choices after poor choices. Good judgment is lacking. She's not held a steady job. If she was proved to be responsible in the self sufficient category, I think her poor parenting skills could be overlooked. I don't know if she was married to her child/children's father but this choice of a husband who at his age doesn't have the proverbial pot to take a leak in is irresponsible.
It seems that all aspects of her life haven't been successful so how can anyone even think she would know what's best for county residents. She can't. She makes poor decisions.
She shouldn't run any more than JT should run...'cept for them thar hills!

1:48 Don't bring "age" into it. SS is paid out by the government (albeit a ponzi scheme), and a persons personal ties to that programs would interfere with them making decisions on it. Like if the counsel has a vote on putting section 8 housing in one of the old parking lots, you don't think it's a conflict of interest if someone voting on that receives the benefits of section 8? They're going to vote with what helps them, and keeps their life the same, not what's best for the community. That's all I meant. Maybe it was a bad example, throwing SS in there, but that doesn't condemn my entire post.

What is of bigger concern to the tax paying voters concerning Laura Mitchell is who is going to fund her campaign? Anyone can and should look up the expenditures for previous At-Large candidates. Many of these candidates spent nearly $40,000 to get elected to the At-Large position. We now have an un-employed welfare queen who lives off housing vouchers and food stamps. Who is going to finance her campaign. She lives in free housing supplied by Slum Lord Dale Dashiell which is for a single mother and not a woman married to a sexual predator who was fired from Salisbury University and another college in another state. Her kid is an adult drug dealing criminal who shouldn't be living with her any longer. It is said that she is living on narcotics as well. Who is going to financer her campaign. Please Jim Ireton, Chuck Cook and Jake Day who is going to pay for her At Large Campaign.
