MOTHER CHARGED $10 AFTER LUNCH OF POT ROAST, POTATOES, CARROTS AND AN ORANGE DEEMED ‘UNBALANCED’ BY DAYCARE

Leftover pot roast, potatoes, carrots, an orange and milk. Doesn’t sound too bad as lunches go.

But according to a set of lunch regulations for children in Canada, the meal was not balanced enough as it was missing a grain. The caregiver’s solution? Filling the grain void with Ritz crackers and charging the mother $10 for it.

According to the blog Weighty Matters, the incident occurred last December, but the Manitoba mother is now speaking out about it.

They'd have a herd time collecting that 10 dollar ritz cracker from me.
I simply wouldn't pay it.
10 dollars would buy you a lunch in most restaurants.

I dream of the day this happens to my kids.

And, ritz crackers for "grains"? Yeah, let's get them loaded on man made trans fats, instead of healthy meal.

Nazi's. They aren't YOUR kids anymore. You only get to pay the expenses. Lunches get INSPECTED now by a third party to see if they meet someone's else's standards? I can already hear the multitudes clapping and cheering and demanding camera's in the kids bedroom so they make sure he's properly dressed for winter.

How does this work for the kids who just wont eat some stuff. I pack all this food in there that I know will get thrown away?

I find it interesting that they supplemented a cracker with a very high SUGAR content...makes no sense.

Potatoes and grains are both carbohydrates. They occupy the same space on the food pyramid.

And that unprocessed potato was much healthier than ritz crackers. Those things probably have a day's worth of sodium in each one!

Why does it say there's a $5 charge per item, and then one item creates a $10 charge?

Seems they have 2 children in that daycare.

This happened in Canada and was rectified by the school Principal. Seems an over reactive lunch monitor had a bad day. Regardless, the children were not harmed, they ate their lunch sent from home. No news here.

10:56 That's put in there so they can diagnose your child with the fictitious add/adhd illness'. Then, they can get your child doped on their BS pharmaceuticals, and rape your wallet. Isn't it fun? And you'll be too worried about sons of anarchy, that you'll go along with it. Good times America!

All of the above will be old or dead when their children contract diabetis, heart problems, obesity, etc. We know it was good enough for you,but look at yourself. Is that really what you want your children to become?
