What a relief that this tactic didn't work. If it did, we'd have every congress doing it every year vs every president for every issue they didn't win on in the conventional way. The harder he spanks them so that this doesn't come off as a good-idea-lets-try-it-again-next-year plan, the better.
I know this is a "we hate Obama" crowd, but it is an absolutely reprehensible and destructive strategy that was being used here.

We'll be right back here in February when they lock horns again. It was almost a year ago when we went over the fiscal cliff. It's getting to be an annual event.
That terrible Obama. He should have just compromised and worked to improv upon ACA with the guys who have spent 2 years screaming about how they want to destroy ACA.

people continue to blame the wrong parties. if obammy kept his campaign promises, especially the one about reducing our debt by half in his first term, we would even need a debt ceiling increase.
So isn't it all his fault?
Likewise, if he and the senate listened to the American people, we wouldn't be discussing the debt increase OR ACA.
If this admin AND the lamestream media DID NOT lie to us, there would not even be a shutdown, or ACA.
as the bible has predicted, everything is turned upside down. good is evil, evil is good. the truth is a lie, and....you know the rest.
the rinos caved. the old guard prevailed, for now. I expect a whole lot, if not all, pols will be looking for a new job come election time.

Most hilarious line I think you guys delivered during this whole process. Obama and many Dems ran on healthcare in 2008. Spent months talking about their ideas, then secured a win. 2012 the law has been passed, Obama and Dems run on getting ACA down, and they win re-election. So tell me again who exactly is not listening to voters?
