Lowery Calls Arrest At Common Core Meeting "Unfortunate"

Maryland's Superintendent of Schools is speaking out on the arrest last week of an Ellicott City man at forum she hosted on the Common Core education standards.

In an interview with WBAL's Tim Tooten, Doctor Lillian Lowery said that she is glad the charges against Robert Small have been dropped after he was arrested last week at a Common Core forum in Towson.

"It was very unfortunate. As everyone has said that was a parent, and we certainly want our constituents to be heard, but the room was filled," Lowery said during a break in a State Board of Education meeting on Tuesday.

But the lesson was well served upon the people --- speak up, challenge authority, demand answers from public "servants (don't laugh) and the armed agents of the government will show you who is REALLY running things (hint: it ain't "we the people" anymore). Like the 60's protest song said, "step outta line, the Man come and take you away...". Don't think that every citizen at that meeting didn't see what happens to the nail that sticks out. Which is EXACTLY what they wanted.
