Troopers Arrest Two For Drugs And Guns, Seaford

Seaford, DE- The Delaware State Police Drug Task Force (DTF) in Sussex County have arrested two people after the culmination of a several month long investigation into illegal drug sales from a Seaford home.

On Wednesday August 7, 2013 at approximately 10:35 a.m., detectives, along with the assistance of the Sussex County Governor's Task Force (GTF) and Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team (SORT) executed a search warrant at the 11000 block of Orange Blossom Lane near Seaford. Richie C. Hurley and Jessica C. Orozco were taken into custody without incident. Three juveniles, ages 7, 15, and 17, were removed from the home and placed into a relatives care. During the execution of the search warrant, detectives located a bag of heroin weighing .025 grams, a .22 caliber rifle along with ammunition, and various drug paraphernalia to include hypodermic needles, scales and smoking devices. Numerous assorted prescriptions pills were also located in the couples bedroom along with over $2,900.00 in suspected drug proceeds. Detectives also located two marijuana plants weighing approximately 2 grams growing under the deck of the house.

Richie Hurley and Jessica Orozco were transported back to Troop 4 in Georgetown where they were arrested on the above listed charges. Hurley was committed to SCI in lieu of $47,500.00 secured bond while Orozco was released on $6,500.00 unsecured bond.
