Not OK. People can get their kiddie porn and warez elsewhere.

If this is in regards to Comcast's new offering of allowing people to use your wifi router they say it uses a separate SSID and it is a different network that is firewalled off of your home network, so in theory you are not "sharing" your wifi with others.

I consider allowing my guests to use Wifi is being a good host.

That being said, my wife had a bad habit of giving out our wireless info all the time. So I set up an open network that goes straight to the Internet, and a private one that allows access to all computers I own, and the Internet.

The open network is unsecure, but does not broadcast an ID. Yes, I know that people could possibly find it, but most people aren't that smart. Those who are can break in to most poorly encrypted wireless networks, anyway.

I actually use to not password protect my WiFi because I knew everyone on my street... we have all been there 25-30 years. So I didn't mind allowing my neighbor to use it if need be. However, since my neighbor passed & his home is rented out to a bunch of young kids, i password protected it LOL

And I don't mind sharing other peoples money.

Those passwords are useless, you can gain access if you try. Most won't, but some can. I don't have to worry about this, as I have no one who lives close enough. If they do, and try to access my network... the joke will be on them when they become the proud owner of an Apple paper weight.

I think not! I spent that money and they did not. Now, if they want to pay half, then tune in to 3xy549fxwprm897260.

I heard that the City of Salisbury is (or will be) providing free wifi to the Downtown Plaza. Since all city taxpayers are will be footing the bill, I think the whole city should get this service.
