In or around 1970,a friend of mine and I were testing out a Dodge Charger that he had just equipped with a 500 HP engine. With that engine he had replaced all of the gauges and had installed a speedometer that went up to 200 MPH.We had just hit 170 on Line Rd when David Ring pulled out into the road on a bicycle app 1/8th of a mile in front of us.That sounds like a manageable distance, but at 170MPH and still operating with the factory brakes he began desperately trying to slow down by downshifting (automatic tranny)and braking.Just before we would have hit the bike David made a sort of u turn back to the shoulder THANK GOD.He was uninjured and we were in shock. The loss of his life would have dramatically affected many.

11:51Dr Ring didn't live in Delmar until 2005. You're mistaken.

There is another David Ring from Delmar. Has sister Linda. I remember that were both very intelligent and talented. So if you avoided the other David Ring, that still is most likely a good thing

This school system is not that great. Lots of "home grown's" get special privileges. Many have gotten academic awards, etc. that were very undeserving. Skewed grades, etc. Not impressive at all.
