Court Rules Hobby Lobby Can Challenge Health Law, Won't Have To Pay Fines

In a health care decision giving hope to opponents of the federal birth-control coverage mandate, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday that Hobby Lobby stores won't have to start paying millions of dollars in fines next week for not complying with the requirement.

The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver decided the Oklahoma City-based arts and crafts chain can proceed with its case and won't be subject to fines in the meantime.

The reprieve gives Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. more time to argue in a lower court that for-profit businesses -- not just currently exempted religious groups -- should be allowed to seek an exception if the law violates their religious beliefs. The company had sued to overturn the mandate on grounds that it violates the faith of founder and CEO David Green and his family.

Thank you Hobby Lobby for standing your ground just like Zimmerman did too.

Sorry, but I want my employees on birth control.

Good decision. If Muslims are exempt from Obamacare, this is only fair.

"And Congress shall pass no law respecting religion or prohibit the free speech thereof". It was a no brainer.

Hobby Lobby is fooling all of you. Their "religious perspective" is nothing more than clever marketing to fool you all. You think they give two hoots about the "religiosity" of this?

Go into their store and find ANYTHING that wasn't made in China. ANYTHING. China, the communist, ATHIEST, forces their people to work like slaves and criminalizes religious practice CHINA. Almost everything in their stores made in China, and Hobby Lobby tries to fool us that they are super duper holy rollers? Nah, they are trying to cash in on some of that Chick Fil-A money.

No, this "front" of Christianity is a fraud, don't buy it. They are fooling you to get your money. They don't fight this law because of some "religious" reason, it's because they fear it will cost them more money.... which only further instills in my mind, that the owners are liars.

6:55 In regard to exemptions, how about adding the folks who concocted this so called Affordable Healthcare law? Our American Aristocracy is alive and doing well...very well!
