Retired Corrections Officers: Some Review Protocol Unprecedented

 
In light of the federal indictment of 13 Baltimore correctional officers, retired corrections officers said Tuesday that reviews of employees and protocol being used are unprecedented.

Retired corrections officers held a press briefing Tuesday on the much maligned correctional officers' bill of rights and, in the process, shed some light on the investigative process.

The framework of the internal probe into corruption at the Baltimore City jail complex seeks to uncover how deep, how widespread and how far up the chain of command is involved. The investigation has the support of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the state's largest labor union.
