Did you mean "theirs?"

Like her or not she is more qualified to be hired just about anywhere as a police chief. Can you say the same thing about Hoppes getting hired anywhere as a fire chief? NOT!

I wish her luck said...

I always enjoyed working with her and her commitment to the community and events.

She was more well liked than Hoppes.

I'm familiar with both Ocean City and Sarasota. While I have no opinion of DiPino I do feel whomever hired her in Sarasota (council/mayor/city manager) are so out of touch they must border on a moronic IQ level. Comparing Sarasota to Ocean City is like comparing an onion to an apple. She hasn't the experience to oversee a PD with such different demographics as Ocean City.
They may as well have given the job to a housewife.

yes I did I'm sorry I used the voice text option on my phone. but thank you for trying to belittle me. not don't you have to go look for some commas and periods that were put into a sentence or paragraph? I swear some people on here just ridiculous!

Really guys give it a rest. She did a good job in O.C. She got a great job in Sarasota. What are you making a year ??? I bet most of the comments are from twenty year P.F.C.s. It is hard at the top you cant make everyone happy. I bet if you talk to some local deputies you will find they would take her in a minute as a boss. Joe see you are back to bashing fireman and cops. Wow lose one election and you turn into the same old Joe.

Chief of police or even police officer is not a woman's place. These are men's jobs. Women have been forced to work men's jobs because it costs so damn much just to live now.

3:15 PM I fail to see where Joe is bashing this woman, firemen or cops. Joe doesn't make this stuff up so quit laying the guilt trip on him.

Looks like you are the one doing the bashing. Quit bashing Joe and move back over to that fat mans blog.

You guys are worried about a Chief that we got rid of? Let her be their problem in Sarasota. We have our own problems here in good ole Ocean City! OCPD has so many issues right now that it is 10 fold worse then when she was here yet you guys are reporting about a dept thousand miles away?

We don't have a chief of police and the problem is the brass that we have in position currently, are apples from the Dipino tree! So they are all spoiled!

I only have a few years left and I can get out of here but I feel bad for the lower level guys that have to come up within the ranks.

OC Sheepdog!

Hey 3:15, or should I say Kirk, are you serious??? She ran OC into the ground and promoted you to lieutenant. She is a joke just like you. When are you and the heman moving to Sarasota?

Easy 8:33......I mean Mac.

Ok 11:25, or should I call you PIO Mike. Still kissing her butt!!!

Actually all jobs pay less now because women have flooded the job market 4:00.

The main difference between OC and Sarasota is the 90% more retirees in Sarasota which are far more harder to deal with than the young in OC.

Looks like Tom Barwin owed her dad Chuck DiPino a favor. He's been pulling strings for her his whole life.
