Kaitlyn Hunt, 18, faces two felony counts of "lewd and lascivious battery on a child 12 to 16" after the parents of her 15-year-old girlfriend pressed charges earlier this year, according to Examiner.
"These people never came to us as parents, never tried to speak to us... and tell us they had a problem with the girls dating," Kaitlyn Hunt's mother, Kelley Hunt-Smith, wrote in an statement posted to Facebook. "...They were out to destroy my daughter. [They] feel like my daughter 'made' their daughter gay."

Sorry about your luck Kaitlyn but you broke the law. Had your girlfriend been 16 you would not be locked up. In this case the police were right. How many 18 yr old boys have been locked up because they were dating someone under 16.
You can't have it both ways just because you are gay.

The problem is selective prosecution, not because of what they would do to an 18 year old boy in the same situation, but what they would do to an 18 year old girl, in a relationship with a 15 year old boy. I wonder how many cases like that the State's Attorney has pursued. Yes, that's right, zero. It's definitely bias because she's gay.
David she broke that law! If they are not going after an 18 yr old girl dating a 15 year old boy that is also another crime! It has nothing to do with her being gay. You want us to treat you equal well the law applies to EVERYONE. Not many 18 yr old girls date a 15 yr old boy. It just doesn't happen.

Charge her all all they can and put her on the sex offenders list for life with all others and make the cost of running this useless list go sky high and drain the budget and have nothing to show for it and at the same time run the budget dry for a useless list that on the most part only nitty-bitty no life people go to and read while they collect welfare and eat good.

I would not want my 15 yr old dating a 18 year old, but what can you about it when they probably went to the same school. Seniors and freshman date everywhere. why this young lady is locked up for it is crazy. IJS

Perverted adults need to stop preying on children. 18 is an adult. 15 is a child. Toss her in jail and make the 18 yo register as a sex offender (like the rest of the perverts).

Dude! You seriously need to go back to the 3rd grade and take English and language all over again. Only 1 period in that whole paragraph?
Bunk from the fire department has gotten on those swing websites looking for a couple so he can get some play time with another guy. I was told this by someone who swings and met him. He isn't the only one in the fire department that does it. There are a lot of swingers around here and few of them do it just so they some male bonding.

The fact is she broke that law! You don't have a way to justify her behavior so the only thing you can do is make snide remarks about someones typing, grammar or English skills. At the end of the day you knew exactly what they wanted to say but since you can't justify her behavior in some twisted way you attack someone that makes a comment. It doesn't make you look smarter by putting someone else down. I guess it just makes you feel better about yourself. That is not a good way to live your life.

Mardela high school is plagued with this with this problem. the school has like a 40 percent gay population. it runs rampid. seniors are trying hard to turn the freshman in to gays with them. and in some cases want you have graduated last year or even talking to the freshman. I wish the Board of Education would do something about this. I can't understand how a high school small as Mardela has such a high gay population
