Md. Senate Passes Medical Marijuana Bill

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- The Maryland Senate has passed a measure to allow academic medical research centers to have medical marijuana programs.

The Senate voted 42-4 on Monday for the bill already approved by the House of Delegates, sending the legislation to Gov. Martin O'Malley.

O'Malley has not personally said whether he will sign the bill. However, the state health secretary, who is a member of O'Malley's cabinet, has expressed support for the measure.

I love it. Don't allow me to carry a gun but its ok to get stoned on Dope. The biggest dopes we have in Maryland are the Democrat free-loading voters. What a sad population of stupid voters Maryland has.

I told you so. Its MONEY. The Maryland legislature knows that in two or three years, when people are used to seeing pot and "medical dispensaries", they can decriminalize or legalize it without much uproar. And watch the state coffers grow exponentially after they start taxing it. THAT'S their ultimate goal. When other states see the dollars, they will do it too. Our "representatives don't give a crap about our "health", our "safety" or crime....they get the best health care, are guarded by an army of storm troopers (while they do their best to disarm US), and there ain't much crime in their gated and guarded communities. What worries do they have, except how to take bribes without getting caught?
