Diet Pepsi is quietly changing its sweetener ahead of a major rebranding of the soft drink set for next month.
The change comes as PepsiCo Inc. looks to reinvigorate its namesake brands after losing market share to Coca-Cola Co. in recent years.
Cans of Diet Pepsi around the country now list a mix of two artificial sweeteners, a pairing that is commonly found in newer diet sodas. Previously, Diet Pepsi used only aspartame, which is sensitive to heat and breaks down more easily.

Not mention aspartame is linked to macular degeneration, cancers, and weight gain. It is an excito toxin made from the fecal matter of E. coli bacteria!,
Not to mention, 8:37 is simply making stuff up. There's no scientific proof of any of those claims.
Please don't take my word for it! Research for yourself and your family. Of course we can trust corporations to have our health and best interests in mind, it's not cheaper to produce compared to other natural sweeteners or anything, and profits definitely don't come first
Aspartame is a genetically engineered form of bacteria waste 180 to 200 times sweeter than sucrose.
Aspartame is an artificial food additive. Moderation should be the norm and it should not be used on a daily basis. Our livers already show signs of damage usually by the time we are in our 40's from ingesting things the human body wasn't made to ingest. That's why a remission of cancer almost always shows up in the liver because it's damaged and vulnerable to active cancer cells looking for a place to atttach themselves.
those that believe aspartame is not a health risk do this at their own peril. do research. it's certainly available and has been for many years. get your head out of the sand.
