Funny how I didn't have to shoot my gun to get to work this morning.

Think of all the lives we would save...

I wonder when Piers Morgan will have the President of the Auto Workers union on to call him names and accuse him of murder.

Actually, we should ban ALL cars, those nasty things kill far more people than guns. And, that makes more sense than what's being discussed about guns. What a bunch of crap. When are we, as a society, gonna figure out that HUMANS kill people.

Cars have a use. Can someone explain the use of an assault rifle for anyone other than police or military?

anonymous 11:00, have you ever had to call the Police? Do you realize just how long it takes for them to arrive. IF someone breaking into my home has an assault weapon and I have a 22 to defend myself and Family, who wins?

IF China ever decided to invade the US or anyone else for that matter and they show up on your property with assault weapons, how do you defend your Family?

Look, I firmly agree something needs to be done about the process for these weapons but let's truly and carefully look at this particular situation in Conn. which truly concerns me personally. No matter what is said, the MOTHER owned these guns and the son stole them. The Mother knew better than to have these weapons but it was her right to own them. Even if we restrict people with m mental illnesses, just as in this case, some will still get their hands on them. Clearly this kid knew how to USE them as well and that too is scary. So there's much more to this story than the MSM wants to let out.

Better restrictions are in order, no question. Hopefully ALL of you realize that those people who do in fact own these weapons will be able to keep them, so the problem is NOT solved, period, even IF they change the laws. You heard me right, they will get to keep them.

WE need to better protect our children in schools and that is the very first step that needs to be addressed. Obama wants answers within 30 days, he's out of line. Address our children's safety first because 90% of the crazy people already own these guns. Mind you, some people who own these weapons are quite stable but THINK about those people YOU know who own them!!!!!

I see 2 of your reasons for your own enjoyment, How does that fall under the 2nd admendment?

433, #5, Inalienable rights.

#6, If two of his reasons are justifiable reasons for him to keep his guns, why would the other two be any reason to remove that right?

I truly do not understand that logic.
