TRAFFIC ALERT

Hurricane Sandy's Wrath Will Require the Closure of West Line Road

Selbyville
-- The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has closed West Line Road between Route 54 and the Maryland state line, due to the failure of a small culvert and severe damage to the second culvert from Hurricane Sandy. Detour signage will be posted for motorists.

A small culvert over Georgetown Branch at West Line Road about 1.8 miles west of Hudson Road is closed. DelDOT is repairing the culvert and should be completed within a month, pending weather.
About a half of a mile south of the intersection of Route 54, the culvert over Buntings Branch is closed until further notice. DelDOT will need to design, send out for bids, and construct a concrete structure for the culvert.

"Buntings Branch is closed until further notice. DelDOT will need to design, send out for bids, and construct a concrete structure for the culvert"

Code phrase for "when we find the money."

People will not be happy and will not see the need to vote in fiscally responsible elected officials until they have to start taking craps outside in the streets like they are having to do in Greece and Italy where the gov't are broke and NO money left for the basics of infrastructure like repairing sewer systems.
