A friend of mine was changing a tire and was hit by a passing car. She is currently in icu at prmc and has lost feeling on the right side of her body. I am asking for your help to post asking if anyone saw or heard anything. I wish I had more details but I have only been able to get bits from other friends. The driver hit her and fled.
If any one witnessed this or has heard about someone who may have done this please call 911 and report it immediately.
UPDATE: Occurred on rt 50 yesterday, not sure where it was. It was a male driving the car that hit her. The accident happened yesterday at sometime before 5pm.

I've asked the same question and am awaiting their reply. I felt, (in the mean time) better to get it up and start looking for answers than wait for who knows how long for a reply. We will update the Post just as soon as we get that reply.
Otherwise, it's just another one of those b.s. things you get to waste your time, Joe, or go after your credibility. Hope it isn't that (or maybe I do so someone isn't hurt), but some people are sick.
1019-The gal who sent this in is very reputable. Grad student working towards her Masters degree, the girl that got injured was a student she knew as an undergrad. Not a bs post by any means.
The accident or rather hit-n-run occurred in Pittsville, on Old Ocean City Road. The tone went out for this very early Friday morning.

I wish her a speedy fully recovery. As the owner of Derek's Towing here in Salisbury I can honestly say hardly anyone cares enough to give someone the extra space to change their tire or our trucks to load disabled vehicles. If they did care the cars and trucks would make an attempt at changing lanes into the vacant left hand lanes of rt. 50, rt. 13, etc. If the motorist in the area cared this probably wouldn't have happened or they would have at least stopped. Ive even had people serve at me like putting my life in harms way is a hilarious joke. I wish this lady the best, I hope she gets well soon. My suggestion to others that break down in the area would be to call a friend to help you by using their vehicle as a work area 'barricade', additional hazard lights, and someone else to be there in case there is some kind of emergency.
Ps please post this lady's name in the next update so we can show her some support. I'd like to delivery some flowers and a card to the hospital
