Troopers Arrest Man On DUI After Crashing Into A House, Hartly

Hartly, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a crash involving a car into a house.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:35 a.m. this morning as Marvin G. Vasquez was operating a 1998 Ford Taurus eastbound on Halltown Road just west of Downes Drive. The Taurus crossed the center line into the westbound lanes before exiting the north side of the roadway and across a residential lawn located at 2563 Halltown Road. The Taurus continued through a fence and then came to a stop after striking the south east corner of a residence located at 100 Downes Drive.

Vasquez, who was not injured in the crash, was transported back to Troop 3 where he was issued a citation for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Inattentive Driving, Failure to Have Required Insurance, Failure to Have Registration in Possession, and Driving While Suspended or Revoked.

No occupants of the residence where injured as a result of the crash and it is unknown what the structural integrity of the house currently is.
