Red Meat

The Agriculture Department once again is buying meat from a California slaughterhouse it had investigated for animal cruelty. The department says Central Valley Meat has made improvements after an undercover video showed workers kicking and shocking downed cows.

The Food Safety and Inspection Service says there's no evidence sick cattle made it into the food supply. However the agency plans quarterly audits at the facility for at least the next year. The Department buys meat to supply school lunch and other food programs.

That place is a disgusting house of horrors for animals the USDA should be ashamed of themselves for buying from them. Plus if you have down cows there is something wrong with them but to make a dollar slaughter house put them out there for people to eat anyway. Just more big Ag big Gov cover ups.

If anyone has missed it, Food Inc is an eye opening documentary that discusses the revolving door between some of these big Ag companies and the government. I think you can stream it via Netflix.
