44% Increase In Price Of JELLO

A Friend Writes:

Stopped at Food Lion to pick up a few items. Jello gelatin is now packaged with 4 cups instead of 6. The only reason I can see for changing the package is to hide the 44% price increase. I won’t be buying Jello anymore........

Has anyone seen any price drop in food prices? Everything is up 20-30% and more recently. Look at at the price of gas.

this has been going on for years. ice-creme, cereal, jello, crackers, cleaning supplies, condiments and every other sector of the grocery store. it's happening faster now than in past years, but it's been going on for a longtime.

You Go to Food Lion your going to be paying outrageous prices anyway. They are too high, Giant is cheaper than they are. I never go to Food Lion.

I would be interested in knowing what in Giant is cheaper than Food Lion. I shop Dollar General, Family Dollar, the Dollar Store and Walmart. Food Lion's milk is generally cheaper than Walmart.

Ohhhh please don't stop buying Jello. It's a Kraft food product and is produced (sort of) locally at the Kraft food plant in Dover, DE.
I know what you mean by the quantity of a product being reduced but not the price. I've noticed it with alot of things. There's no such think as a pound of bacon anymore or a 1/2 gallon of ice cream.

Sounds just like the new bag of sugar. You used to get 5lb bags and now they are 4lbs. Very deceptive.

Giant's version of the Oven Stuffer Roaster was $0.99 per lb. I would smoke on on Sunday and wifey and I would make 3 meals for ourselves out of it.

It just went up to $1.49. That's an increase of 50% for a relatively unprocessed piece of food.

The price of generic salt at Walmart is up almost 10%.
