The 6th annual Math 24 Game Tournament for Wicomico elementary and middle students will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, in the Commons at Salisbury University. Mathletes will be in the spotlight at the school system's annual Wicomico County Math 24 Game Tournament, sponsored by M&T Bank. The event is free and open to the public.
Each elementary school will send to the tournament one champion per grade level (grades 1-5) for a total of 55 contestants, and middle schools will send two student winners per grade level (grades 6-8) for a total of 30 contestants. These grade-level champions from throughout Wicomico County will compete for the title of county champion, with winners announced at the end of the night.
M&T Bank has generously sponsored this event in Wicomico Schools for the past several years, and this year presented a check for $5,000.
