Parkside Graduation

Joe,

I attended Parkside's graduation last night. I found it strange that Glen Avenue was closed at the Civic Center crossing for a dog show but not for these graduation exercises. I guess we know who counts around here.

Amen or should we say Adog !

The dog show is a revenue generator and the dog people complained and the WCYC listesn to the paying people. They get nothing from the graduations.

stop your whining. The dog show brings in $$ graduation does not.

I should hope that graduating high school seniors have a better understanding of motor vehicles and crossing streets than a bunch of poodles. How about, next year, they also provide little poop bags?

The graduates are more important
hands down, only dog lovers feel different.

Hey 11:15 "stop your whining" Are you serious. How many $$ is a child excited to see and older sibling at graduations life worth. Closing the road SHOULD be about safety, Period

Where did the money come from to build the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center? Local taxpayers!

Absolutely 11:15 - So what if a few people get killed at a non-revenue event. County tax dollars and common sense only go into play when the pockets of the greedy are be lined.

BTW - lost track of how many times Fredericson said "my graduates" like he had anything to do with the success of any of them, let alone all of them. Like Obama taking credit for killing Osama.

It's all about money! I choose the students and families.

What say you tricky Ricky Pollitt? Why don't you chime in here and let us know, WHY?

There are certainly much larger problems to be concerned about in my opinion. Complain over speed cameras, saying a child has never been killed in a Wicomico County school zone by a speeder, so take them down. Now you want a road closed because a high school senior or family could be killed when crossing the street going to graduation. See how ridiculous this all sounds.

Wait didn't they close down that road a few weeks ago for a graduation? I think maybe it was WorWic? I remember seeing a post that they closed it down for some type of graduation. Why not all of them?

Ok I was right. I did see that it was suppose to be close. Joe you posted about this on April 21st at 10:30AM....http://sbynews.blogspot.com/2012/04/glen-ave-to-close.html

Some of those poodle owners should have children and maybe they would not be obsessed with dressing little dogs up in clothing and putting them in pageants.
