It is a shame, really, that the school system did not take into account Daylight Savings time when scheduling the tests. Most health experts agree that it takes, on average, 5 days to become acclimated to the time change. Young kids, as it is, do not do particularly well when school begins very early.

The decision is made by the state dept, not the county school system. Schools are told when to start.

I believe the state is part of the school system and, thus, should have considered the ramifications.
