It's Not A Question Of Private Belief by Governor O'Malley

Dear Friend,

At the end of the day, across our State, all of us want the same thing for our kids. We want them to live in a loving, caring, committed and stable home protected equally under the law.

That's what the fight for marriage equality is about.

As Prince George's Mount Ennon Baptist Church's Pastor Delman Coates explains, "It is not a question of private belief but whether all citizens of this state have the same rights."
Read the story below to learn more about Pastor Coates and click here to join the fight for equality today.

I guess that I should have the right to marry my dog too? I just want to be happy, so it is my civil right to marry my dog.

Please clarify exactly what rights do gays NOT have compared to other citizens of this state.

This is nothing to do about "marriage equality" and is everything to do about attacking the institution of marriage.
You can't call it "marriage equality" when it involves perverted unions.
Marriage is the union of one man and one woman. You can't have a "union" between two men of two women, or man and dog, or woman and tree, it doesn't work. It is a non sequitur.

Gay marriage isn't equitable to marrying a dog or a tree. Common sense should tell you that, rather than resorting to extreme hyperbole to support your insensitive and ridiculous claims that this issue isn't about marriage equality. It most certainly is.
@6:40 How about the insurance benefits that are afforded to married heterosexuals and not to partnered homosexuals?

anonymous 10:40, You knew the freakin rules BEFORE you came out of the closet, deal with them. The law is the law.

By the way, insurance isn't BENEFITTED to heterosexual couples, we PAY for it, just like you should. You have NOT been denied because you are gay. Is there something I don't understand here. Two men can't deliver a baby.

Next we'll be expected to pay for pills that protect gay people from diseases they contract. Oh, that's right, we're already paying for that now, all over the world.

Thank you Joe.

Sounds like Pastor Coates should read his Bible. My Bible says God hates sin. Homosexuality is sin and an abomination. Both of the people should be stoned to death, God also detroyed the entire cities of Sodom and Gomorrah
for their homosexuality. Pastor Coates must be a self appointed Pastor. Probably no formal training in higher education. Probably got ordained through the internet. Pastor Coates

READ YOUR BIBLE

Joe,
what rules are you talking about??

And what about people who have spouses and children on their insurance plans? There are cases where a member in a homosexual couple has a "spouse" or child that is not covered by their insurance. That's what I mean by "benefitted." A horrible injustice is done to these families by denying them this advantage.

A queer couple cannot have a child unless there is some new kind of biology I'm not aware of.
Oh, BTW they cannot have a child due to biological reasons and that is the very SAME reason they cannot ever be married.
