nope, no tax increase of any kind until the budget is cut to at least 10% below last years

Absolutely yes! It will bring Delaware more business.

yes, 7% is about the norm for a State the size of Maryland. It's needed and it won't hurt much.

No. I believe cutting his and other MD politicians' salaries, pensions, expenses, etc. would be a GREAT alternative that MD residents would approve of.

NO

better the sales tax than double the flush tax

No more taxes of any kind! We are over-taxed, over-legislated, and over-regulated.

No!!! I am so sick of the liberal bull crap that my money is going to in this state!

I will befriending many Delaware businesses from now on. to Hell with O'Malley!

I don't like to see any tax increase--who does?--but an additional percent is easier to take than all the other proposes taxes, such as ten cent more per gallon for gas.

No!How about a new governor!

NO NO NO

Not as much as I would if I owned a business in DE, VA, PA, or WV; politicos in those states are praying for him to succeed.

Anonymous said...

Yes, it is a consumption tax and if you don't want to pay it put your money in the bank. People don't need half tthe crap they buy.

NO cut the fat at the top of the chain. He just raised fuel taxes. now sales tax...really. I wish I could get more in my paycheck whenever I spent too much.

Anonymous said...

Let me get this straight, he wants to raise the sales tax again and at the same time pass along pension expenses to the counties. What are we getting for the extra tax? Nothing. What am I missing here?

Anonymous said...

It just went up 20% a couple years ago. What did that get us? Cuts to local government and passing off the teachers pensions to the counties. No, No, NO

Anonymous said...

DELAWARE DOES!

No, Md needs a salary review of all upper level management. When O'Malley gets the ok to raise "just 1 tax" it is always following by more!

Anonymous said...

no. no more taxes period. reduce spending and cut regs. make it easy for someone to start and maintain a business you dim wits...

Anonymous said...

I stopped buying any big ticket items like new appliances, lawn equipment, etc since the tax increase to 6%.

Anonymous said...

Absolutely Not! O'Malley is as good of an example of a big tax and spend liberal that there is.

He has no clue on how to turn Maryland around and make it a more competitive state.

My hope is that some day the voters of Md will wake up and realize the liberal approach and ideolgy to governing is a failure.

Living near Delaware and Virginia is a plus here. Why doesn't the Gov know that people will ride over the line and buy.
