States Look to Establish Online Animal Abuser Registries

A movement that started in Suffolk County, N.Y., is quickly spreading across the country.
Its goal: to require animal abusers to sign up for online registries, much like those required for sex offenders.
The Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of the Cruelty of Animals was the first in the country to set up an online registry in 2010,  where convicted animal abusers must register a photo and current address for ten years as well pay a $50 per year fee.

I really feel that if EVERYONE feels that the SEX OFFENDER LIST really works for the amount of $$ it is costing and raising everyday. Maybe we need to have a registry for ALL TYPE of felony crimes and stop all crimes. Think about it ?? Be alot cheaper than Jail ?? Most of all HOW about a SPOUSAL ABUSE REGISTRY ????

The only book I want my name in is the Book of Life.

We are supposed to be the most free country in the world but we have MILLIONS locked up. (2.3 million I think was the number)

We have too many prisons and too many prisoners. Prisons do not work.

We need to return to the days of flogging and sending people home instead of locking them up and paying for their incarceration. (except for the truly dangerous ones obviously)
