BLACKSBURG, Va. - A Virginia Tech fundraising campaign that began in 2003 has exceeded its goal of $1 billion.
University president Charles Steger announced results of "Campaign for Virginia Tech: Invent the Future" on Saturday. He told donors that the campaign has taken in more than $1.1 billion in cash and pledges.
