The why are so many (if poverty is SOOOOO bad), willing to BE single moms? Is it the free housing, free medical care, Earned Income Credit, free utilities, Extra income for MORE children, and all the other goodies that the taxpayer pays for these poor poor disadvantaged people? If they ARE so poor, how can they be wearing shoes I can't afford and jewelry I could never buy and cars I WISH I had?

Woah, watch the way you talk about this subject, you need to add some not just all. I am a single mom, I have been laid off now twice. I did not choose to be a single mom and being a single parent is one of the hardest things to do, you don't get to spend to much time with your child because you are working trying to provide for them. When abortion and adoption are out of the picture in your family the best you can do is raise the child and try your hardest to do good. I will tell you right now though not all single parents get to live off the state not all single parents get child support, not all parents can afford half the stuff your talking about. Walk a mile in my shoes and you would understand that NOT ALL single mom's are the same.
