Westboro Baptist Protests 'Brute-Beast' Ft. Meade Students

WASHINGTON -- Five members of the Westboro Baptist Church, infamous for anti-homosexual slurs and protests at military funerals, demonstrated outside an area school Thursday morning.

The church planned to congregate at what it calls the "pervert-run" Meade High School in Ft. George Meade, Md. to protest what it says are "violent, freakish, worthless, brute-beast children" corrupted by "brutish teachers and hateful parents," according to a church release.

"These are children of military families largely, they're entitled to know they've been taught wrong," said church member Shirley Phelps Roper at the protest. "Their destruction on 'doomed America' is eminent."

Around 300 counter protesters also showed up, supported by roughly two dozen motorcyclists revving their engines and circling the crowd.

Line them up and make them provide a urinalysis. They must be high?

They will have a wake up call one day when they provide an account to what they did here on earth.
We will be standing in the choir clouds as they line up for judgement and be looking at them shaking our heads as Jesus sends them out to...

"supported by roughly two dozen motorcyclists revving their engines and circling the crowd."

I wonder if the motorcyclists were really supporting this crowd. I've heard about a motorcycle club that shows up at protests (at funerals, etc) and they line up to block the protesters and they rev their engines to drown out the protesters voices.

So true

10:35 - you misread - it says the motorcyclists were supporting the counter-protesters, not the hate group.

"These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren." —Proverb 6:16-19

These people shouldn't be allowed to call themselves a church, with all their hatred-spewing. They have all become lawyers to fight anyone who opposes them and their twisted views. The people on motorcycles are the Patriot Guard, which was formed to protect military families @ funerals from hearing this garbage while burying their loved ones. That's why they rev their engines, to drown these a-holes out. If you think it's only happening in other places, think again. They were @ a serviceman's funeral in Seaford, spouting their ugliness. Fortunately, so were the Patriot Guard.

You know why they do all of this? Not because the really believe what they preach, but because they recieve the publicity like this. I would be willing to bet if we completely ignored these incompetent morons they would just disappear, and the world would be a much better place. God might "hate" f**s as well as gay rights activists, I do not personally know him so there is no way to tell. But I would also be willing to bet if he "hates" them for being who they are, then he "hates" these idiots for being who they are as well.

The guy than runs that church is a lefty democrat nutcase. You sure don't here that on the news do ya? Instead they are Christian/Baptist mind ya. They are sure not going to leave that out.

I have 2 children that graduated from Meade High School in '93 and '94. I found the school and staff to be just as good as a high school in Montgomery County was that we switched from due to moving. Those people are crazy. God doesn't like their actions either. What goes around comes around.

I wish the WBC would list an itinerary of where they plan to protest. If they have so much "pride" and "belief" in their actions then why not let all of us that do not support them know where to come counter act? I am not a religious person but what they do is a disgrace to America as a whole. As dysfunctional as this country currently is, I do love and support my country, most of all out service members. I'd be willing to catch a charge just for the satisfaction of knowing my "voice" was heard to counter those idiots!
