Why in the devil is this town so afraid to tell its residents what is going on? I just wish one of the tv stations had an investigative reporter like channel 11 does in Baltimore. Imagine that! I just got done saying last night after watching the so called local news, that you would think nothing ever happens in Salisbury because all they report is what is happening in Delaware. Well, tv station, go to Delaware and stay there if that is all you are going to report on. Alot is happening in Salisbury. Get off your lazy duffs and get out there and get the stories and then report them. Let the residents of this town know what is going on and where it is going on then maybe some of the crime will get cleaned up because residents can be more aware and watch out more. I'm so sick of everyone thinking it's someone elses job - well no it's not. TV stations earn your money for a change, get out there and report for once and I don't mean what's going on in Delaware either. You can't paint a pretty picture for Salisbury any longer, we know it's not true.

Sounds like a robbery/attempt murder, instead of down playing it to an assault for the Uniform Crime Report. Salisbury politics being played as usual. New Mayor/New Chief same ole issues. Salisbury does not have crime until you make them admit it.

Waiting for that guy to say 'if you don't like it, don't live in Salisbury'.

read of assault in my area. well the perp's photo should be posted if it's a sexual assault, which this was.

In that neighborhood is a apartment complex called Tide Mill. The owners of those apartments are not from this area. The company is based on the western shore. The owners have no concern for the neighborhood or the city of Salisbury because they don't live, work or visit here. They rent to anyone who has the first months rent. Decent, responsible people are moving out of there in droves because of the thugs that are moving in. Absentee landlords such as Tide Mill should be on the top of Mayor Ireton's list, yet he would rather attack community members. The owners of Tide Mill are destroying a once beautiful neighborhood and the surrounding area.

This whole area is just a haven for crime and it is getting worse by the minute. This isn't the landlords fault as they are just doing the bare minimum that they have to do to make a buck as fast as they can. The truth is that Salisbury just has a disasterous track record in fighting crime and this is the fault of the politicians, not the police. The place was just terrible before the current rainbow flag bearer, and is way out of control now. why is it that there is just so much of a cover up with crime. The schools are way out of control too and the Principals are only worried aobout test scores. Try looking up the calls for service to the schools! My neighbor is a cop and has said to me that it is a miracle that a kid hasn't been killed yet. I couldn;t believe that when I heard it!

We have lived at Tide Mill for the last year and have never had any problems. Unlike other apartment complexes in Salisbury it is off the beaten path and a quiet community. I have never even seen a police car at the complex.
