30% See No Point In Contacting Their Senator Or Congressman

Thirty percent (30%) of Likely U.S. Voters believe it isn't worth the effort trying to contact their senator or congressman, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Fifty-six percent (56%) disagree and think it is worth the effort, while 14% more aren't sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

But then only 28% of voters think most members of Congress care what their constituents think. Fifty-one percent (51%) say most congressmen don't care what the voters at home think, and another 22% are not sure. Still, that's an improvement from mid-August when 60% said most members of Congress don't care.

No wonder that just 23% of voters think the federal government today has the consent of the governed.

I do and have contacted Milulski and i always get a reply.
However it is alwaya the same old answer i cant help you on anything.
So why waste my time .
I would like to see all out government officials starting with county on up to federal run out of town on a rail.
Our government does nothing for me but take most of my money in taxes.
Sure i know we all pay taxes , but i would like to see something for good of the people in our country, not sent to another country . or do things like erlich bus illegals into the state.

If the elected officials were doing their JOB instead of playing games for special interest, we wouldn't have to contact them!

11:28...you made a BIG mistake. You SHOULD have told Milkulski that you had a problem AND were considering contributing (bribing) to her campaign....BOOM! you would have her instant and undivided attention. We are NOT represented by anyone anymore and the current crop of nobodies will NOT change the status quo. New faces maybe, but--- same old story, same old song and dance. Just keep preparing...change is coming.

The problems of our government CANNOT be changed. The people who have control WILL NOT ALLOW us to change it.

They are rich beyond imagination and have used their money as power against us.

It has been that way for centuries. But now the elites have advanced technologies to use against us. Such things as televisions and public education are used to control our minds through the formation of our opinions, thoughts and beliefs.

I sent letters to Gilchrest and always got the same B.S. form letter back of him whining about he WOULD NOT help me of even consider writing back to hear my side of things. On the other hand Paige Elmore always listened to what I had to say and then explain what I didn't understand. Thing is I didn't have to write to Mr.Elmore because He mingled with his people (God Rest His Soul). He was always ready to listen and the other folks that we send to Washington could learn much from his service to his people.
