Delaware State Police Monday August 16, 2010 arrested a Millsboro man for 4th Offense Driving a Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol making this his fifth offense. The arrest occurred after George J. Swenda Jr. was involved in a motor vehicle crash. The crash occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Coastal Highway south of Old Landing Road Rehoboth Delaware.

State Police responded to Coastal Highway and discovered a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder driven by George J. Swenda Jr. rear ended a 2001 BMW 745i. State Police took custody of Swenda after a preliminary investigation suggested alcohol was involved with the crash.

Swenda was arrested for 4th Offense Driving a Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol and other traffic offense stemming from him leaving the scene of an accident. Swenda was remanded to Sussex Correctional Institute on $6,000 cash bond.
