You know an industry has hit the big time when labor unions decide it's time to organize the workers. So, it looks like California's medical marijuana workers are about to reach new highs now that the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 5 in San Jose has begun organizing local pot purveyors. Here's the big question, though: How long before they start showing up to picket non-union shops with a giant inflatable bong?

Unions are the tool of Communists ! There was a time when workers needed representation but today's Unions actually are bad for business and cause job loss from a combination of over paying trivial jobs to job exportation and the suppression of the small business .
The pot pickers union scheduled their first meeting but, um, uh, what were we here for? Pass the Fritos man.
It would be nice if the focus of our country was how we could better ourselves instead of how we can harm ourselves .
I think most people in this neck of the woods are praying for California to break off the continent and float out to sea!
How bad could it be to work in a weed shop? Are they demanding more smoke breaks and want April 20th as a paid holiday?

If they legalized it in every state we could literally smoke ourselves into utopia. If you don't want to smoke it than don't...but don't prevent those that do. And don't start talking about people driving under the influence b/c we all know that alcohol is one of the worst, most addictive drugs and its legal b/c it makes money. Marijuana would be no worse if not better. Alcohol is the real gateway drug.. not marijuana. So the if we legalize pot where will it stop argument is null as well.
