Residents have reported that an unknown male has been calling their homes, identifying himself as an officer with the Fruitland Police Department, and attempting to solicit money to fight the drug activity, gangs and crime in the city/county.
Residents are cautioned against fraudulent scams of this nature as no member of the Fruitland Police Department is soliciting money for crime prevention initiatives, proactive policing strategies or any other purpose.
