Salisbury's Third Friday & Christmas Tree Lighting Event

Hundreds of people gathered together Friday night and Shop Owners enjoyed packed businesses, especially Kuhn's Jewelers. Fine work Mayor Ireton.

I loved the jazz band, could have listened to them for hours. Good job Allan Hope, too.

Attended the event Friday night and it was so great to see the downtown alive again. Shops were full, restaurants busy. In order for the downtown to be revitalized again the shops need to remain open and the restaurants frequented by the citizens. People make the downtown alive again.

Went down with my husband and saw lots of people! The exhibit at the Art Institute and Gallery - the Art of Architecture was great.

Urban Salisbury deserves lots of credit, Joe. This was their idea and they have put in so much work.

I do thank Mayor Ireton, too. The old mayor was so against doing anything for downtown. We missed the tree lighting, but got down there for food and music. It was magical to see people walking all over the plaza with all the pretty lights.

It was just incredible! Great job to whoever was responsible, and PLEASE keep up the good work!
Maybe the December event will be a HUGE Christmas Party for the City!

Kudos to everyone involved!

Why didn't he Daily Times do something with this? Or WBOC, or WMDT (who could have just looked out the window.) Shame on them.

Both TV stations were there. Had set up mobile transmission for broadcast.

Mayor didn't welcome anyone to the festivities. Was he there?

8:04, huh? Before they lit the tree, Ireton welcomed everyone, many by name, including Santa. A great time was had by all!
