National Farmers Union Honors Rep. Frank Kratovil With Golden Triangle Award

Rep. Frank Kratovil poses with members of the National Farmers Union after being presented with their highest legislative honor, The Golden Triangle.

Washington, DC – Today, the National Farmers Union presented Rep. Frank Kratovil with the organization’s highest legislative honor, the 2009 Golden Triangle Award. The annual award is presented to members of Congress who have demonstrated leadership on issues relevant to America’s family farmers, ranchers and rural communities.

“Frank Kratovil has demonstrated a commitment to developing constructive solutions to address the challenges facing those in rural America while also looking for creative opportunities for the future,” NFU President Roger Johnson said.

“It’s an honor to receive this award, but even more it is an honor to represent the hardworking men and women of the First District who are responsible for growing the quality foods that families across the State and the nation depend upon everyday at their dining room table,” said Rep. Kratovil.

This year’s Golden Triangle recipients were selected for their leadership on a variety of issues, including: work to address the crisis in the dairy industry, efforts to increase transparency and oversight of commodity markets, support for increasing the use and production of renewable fuels, and increasing competition in the marketplace. The awards will be presented during NFU’s annual fall fly-in this week.

The Golden Triangle Award is based on NFU’s symbol – a triangle with “legislation” and “cooperation” forming the sides and “education” the base. The Golden Triangle Awards have been presented annually since 1988.

No hate here at all, again I voted for this con man. He has had chance after chance to be the something different that he promised the voters.

Look, I GET that you like him, he's a likeable guy, but, ok, let's play a game...

Show me where he has broken ranks with his party once!

C'mon soldier, just once...
