Hawaii State Department of Education says:
Obama speech will NOT be shown in Hawaii classrooms.
In a memo dated 090309, the Department, stated:
“The following broadcast details are for information purposes only. The Hawaii State Department of Education WILL NOT be taping the broadcast and replaying it for our students. Parents who would like their child to see President Barack Obama’s speech can download a video of the speech at their convenience.”
I guess he no longer is Hawaii's a "Favorite Son".

He was never the son of Hawaii.
He was just passing through on his way from Africa to the mainland of the States.
