Christmas Tour

This question just came in and it is certainly worth posting.

"Joe,
Every year, on whatever Saturday night is right before Christmas, we get into the car, and drive around looking for the best holiday decorations. I just realized how much better this otherwise delightful experience would be by having some idea as to where they are…rather than making an educated guess or stumbling upon them. Could your readers possibly post some houses or displays which they have in their neighborhoods, and enjoy themselves??? What an incredible tradition this has become for us….grab a hot chocolate from Dunkin and ride around in a nice warm car, with family members as captives!!!!!

Thanks in advance"

34377 Parker Place in Pittsville,
the house and yard have over 62,000 lights on it.
Santa is there as well and they have hot chocolate to take the chill off the evening.

The apartment complex called Marley Manor, located off of Snow Hill Road in Salisbury had a decoration contest to those who live there. If you would like a place to park and walk around, maybe this would be a nice place to go. I have not been there yet but may go tonight myself.

if you feel like making your way to sharptown, we have quite a few houses decorated, including one who's entire yard is lit up :)

No Joke, there is an INSANE house on the mill pond in Galestown, MD (on the back way to Seaford, DE from Sharptown). And if you are in that area, you should take a ride through the town of Sharptown. Railroad St. in Sharptown has a crazy display as well. Tons of lights. Have fun!

I agree with Mark K. Pauls house is beautiful. We live practically next door and my daughter sees his house every day and still makes us stop.

I had heard about the Pittsville place and went there earlier this evening (before reading 12:46). They have done an awesome job! Don't forget to put a little something into the box provided for "Santa's electric bill."

I agree it was a display. We have the house in Pittsville with all the lights. Once I read he was coming home at 8pm I made sure the hot chocolate was full, there was enough cookies and Santa had enough candy canes and off to the airport I went. What a wonderful homecoming. We even got a second suprise there was another young man on the flight coming home as well. I missed the last homecoming since I was in town when they changed the time. Im sure glad I did make this one!
