Millions of misleading claims to cure or prevent coronavirus

WASHINGTON (ABC7) — WASHINGTON (WJLA) - There are more than 105,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus worldwide.

And con-artists are wasting no time preying on people's fears.

We found a mine-field of millions of products promising preventions and cures.

Just a few clicks and you're swimming in unfounded coronavirus claims. One post, shared 16,000 times, recommends avoiding cold drinks and spicy foods.

CDC said cleaning chairs will do nothing. NJ is now cleaning all school bus seats with a fogger, around the outside of the bus and certain crosswalks. Opposite of cdc.
