A Viewer Writes..........Cold Case

A taxi cab driver and a pregnant woman, his rider, was both shot dead. It was 1967 on Maywood Dr Salisbury. There was a suspect and his wife came forward and they divorced but she was considered a hostile witness. I do not recall his name but my uncles name was Freddie Jones.

There are numerous murder cold cases in Salisbury. We as concerned citizens would like some kind of update from law enforcement. Shore stop murder,Shell station murder,SSC student found murdered off Camden Ave,old mall murder,etc.etc.... crickets.

It was KAYWOOD drive, not MAYWOOD drive. I know because I lived in that neighborhoo.

I know old Freddie Jones. We would have worked together for years but they hired somebody else. Yeah he probably done it. I don't think they would take my statement though on account of the fact that Freddie accidently cut off my hand at the job we worked at for years together.

To 11.23. I lived in that neighborhood too. You must have been a young kid because at that time there were only 10 -15 houses on Kaywood. Also, it was winter of 1966 I believe where the car was found near the Gunby Rd entrance of Kaywood.
I'm guessing the perp is probably dead by now--if not would have to be in his 90's.

A cold case unit in Wicomico County never manifested to the level it should have.

3:40 I was indeed young and very scared when I was told why there were detectives questioning everyone. It took a few years and a few nightmares for things to settle down. I always wondered who did that. My mother told me it was domestic and nothing that would affect us.
I would love to know if anyone on this blog knows. Yes, the perp probably is dead but justice would be in the knowing who.

My aunt and uncle have lived on n kaywood my whole life and I'm 52. I remember them talking about the guy who lived on the deadend and the rumors about it being him

Shell station one is sad, only a few years ago. He was a nice man.

6:29 Interesting as there was only one house at that end of the street at that time. I would welcome information on this. Growing up on Kaywood was fun, comfortable, and happy but that murder always bothered me.
Joe, Please keep this post up for potential information.
Anyone who's on this - please post any information/gossip/rumor, etc. you have heard.

If this is the same case I am thinking of, he told his wife about this at some point in their marriage and the secret was kept until they divorced. She remarried and told her second husband. He went to the police and the suspect was extradited from Florida to Salisbury. Investigation was not able to prove his guilt and he was released. Can't remember his last name right now but first name was Chip.

May have been someone named Chip Price... This was late 60s or early 70s...

His name was Chip Holloway.

Yes, I just came back to correct my it was not Chip Price but as 9:47 says Chip Holloway. My 6:30 story should be accurate.
I bet today with DNA and forensics he would be have been found guilty...
