Rt. 13 Salisbury at the amphitheater hill. You know you can make catch basins with a sloped top and different heights. The ones I've seen are installed with the inlet ABOVE the pavement, not BELOW and follow the sidewalk. They did this TWICE!

For what it's worth, this work on 13 is being done by the State Highway Administration, not the city of Salisbury. Still a screw-up. And the city and state definitely should have coordinated better instead of having downtown, Riverside, and 13 all torn up at the same time. What a nightmare getting around Salisbury has been lately.

Wow. What an unbelievable waste of taxpayer dollars.

The SHA is renewing South Business 13, i.e., South Salisbury Boulevard. This stretch will be done in the coming year, or so they say.

the federal highway transportation agency has road standards that all one would need to do is look at and see what best practices are for doing road work. you only need to look at the ongoing mess at fitzwater street for how many decades now, along with the blue markers salisbury installed off center of most city streets, the bike lanes installed around the city, along with the hair brained idea for a round about at mill street and one can see these idiots in charge have no idea wtf they are doing!
but we need gay parades!
Genius!

Hey Joe...I think you should d o a story on so students and how big the negative effect is on the locals....no one wants to put up negative truths about SO or the hospital because of funding but we are the ppl of the shore not most of these students and doctors! I suffer everyday because of 9 students and hope something comes soon to give us reprieve but out won't and I'm going to have to up root my family so we can do things like sleep, eat family fingers, daily board game night, and relax. All which is non existent now bc out these ignorant selfish self centered millenials that will leave it community after they suck all the life they need from our area!

Please don't eat your family fingers!

11:24 what the hell did you just try to say.

1124, sounds like you have a problem with the SU students? Not sure where the hospital plays into your grievance. Best to call the students land lord to complain, I guess.

Salisbury is a joke from roads to neighborhood services to the water dept. to fake Jake.
There are multiple flood zones and washouts because city inspections are non existent.
There is no drain maintenance in neighborhoods, the tubes are clogged. Streets flood, potholes are everywhere. Cones and road closures are frequent and repairs take months or years.
The inspectors at neighborhood services are contemptuous a’holes that refuse to do their job.
Residents suffer. Then the city charges them back for the repairs after maintenance they failed to perform!
They fail to see overgrown storm water runoff ponds that have been neglected so long there are 40 foot trees growing in the middle.
They fail to see 100 yard concrete drainways that are choked with dirt and overgrown actually holding water and fish!
Residents have brake problems on their cars because every time it storms the parking areas flood and vehicles sit in water for hours...
Jake is clueless. Period. Except for circles and bike lanes. He knows circles and bike lanes.

Mmmmm family fingers. I like mine with some duck sauce.

What is sick about the whole thing is their was a view of the River and the thought Jake Day wanted it to look like the Inner Harbor, but instead he made it look the Sanford and Sons junk yard. Thanks for the crap look we have had to endure far too long.

I didn't think there was but one highway engineer in Wicomico County, but apparently I'm wrong. There appear to be dozens making comments.

The bike lanes are really not well thought out°
Not sure who was the so called brains behind that idea but it is really DUMB.

It's called voicing one's opinion. We still have Freedom of Speech ...so far. Despite your and others' attempts to stifle it.
