Trump proposes sweeping rewrite of environmental-impact rules

Environmental red tape and Byzantine permit rules are making it impossible to build in the U.S., President Trump said Thursday in proposing a sweeping regulatory rewrite that would speed up federal approval of bridges, highways, pipelines and other major projects.

The bold move, however, rankled environmentalists and invited legal challenges that would delay the envisioned fast-track approvals.

Flanked by workers in hardhats and construction vests, the president said he was returning America to a time when massive projects were approved and built lickety-split, putting an end to the current bureaucratic regimen that can drag on for decades.

A true Conservative and Christian measure would be to preserve our resources and not look to the Garden as an exploitable wealth potential for the few just to create jobs for the Feudal dependent.

Probably right, 449. Which is why I don't care for conservative Christians.

Thank you!

Exactly what I was thinking. The real actual costs of many industrial products is never known by the consumers and is not a part of the price which consumers pay. Just the environmental impacts of oil and all of its products (plastic is #1, Gasoline, Heating Oil, Diesel Fuel, so on) are astronomical. So much damage is done to the environment during the drilling on land and at sea it is unbelievable. A gallon of gasoline should retail for $10 or more.

Humanity has really done a lot of damage to the world. The damages affects will be experienced in a non-linear timeframe. It is going to really speed up fast from here. The geoengineering efforts to mask the damage is a crime itself - but they have succeeded at hiding much of the affects of human industry.

Clue: That isn't snow, it is a chemical ice nucleation process which produces artificial snow. It does temporarily cool down the atmosphere locally for several days at a time. However the damage it is doing is unfathomable. If people only knew what is in the atmosphere (air) we are breathing. Very dire situation.

Read about forever chemicals that never break down. They are in this bill he wants to eliminate. I do not support him on this.

You are a true genuine liberal nutcase. Just look at what has happened in past history which you will not believe because it does not follow your agenda

""Back in the 70s, I remember we were promised an ice age if we didn’t give liberals our money and freedom. Then in the 80s, we were promised death by ozone hole if we didn’t give liberals our money and freedom, and then doom by acid rain if we didn’t give liberals our money and freedom. By the time they started promising that we were all gonna die from global warming if we didn’t give liberals our money and freedom, I was still wanting my ice age. It would be nice to have a white Christmas in LA.

So, where’s my damn ice age?--

So why has nothing changed?

You don't care about conservative Christians because it does not fit your socialist leftist agenda. You are a cruel evil envious person.

Every end of the world climate prediction in the past 40 years has been 100 percent wrong. The same democrats were making millions then and now. They all live in massive homes and all fly instead of driving. I’m just mad I’m not making money on pushing the bs too.

Why can't we have both?

We can have both and I have seen much change in my own lifetime. We are very adaptable creatures we just have to harness greed, fear and denial. I started out working in filthy unsafe factory conditions and as I moved up I traveled for the company in the 70's. The country was filthy and smoggy and trash everywhere the rivers stinking and stagnant from the first wave turn of century industrial implication. Lots of people got rich at lots of peoples expense. We also created lots of jobs and lifted the quality of life of many. That's what we do we are essential tribal and altruistic and as a Capitalist I believe we can continue to do so rationally. You just have to move the outhouse every few years you can't keep shitting in same place and expecting it not to stink.
We can have both but not just have it ALL NOW we have future generations to think of. So maybe we don't realize the dream but perhaps our descendants will inherit something fairer that's where faith plays into all things.
