FORCED SECTION 8 HOUSING EXPANSION (House Bill 231) HEARING Tuesday, February 4, 2020 1:00p.m. House Office Building, Room 251, Annapolis, MD

It's here.

We told you it was coming and sure enough -- Delegate Brooke Lierman (D-Baltimore City) has introduced FORCED Section 8 Housing Expansion legislation, House Bill 231.

This bill will be heard:

FORCED SECTION 8 HOUSING EXPANSION (House Bill 231) HEARING
Tuesday, February 4, 2020
1:00p.m.
House Office Building, Room 251, Annapolis, MD

We must defeat House Bill 231 just like we defeated previous versions of this bill in the past.

This legislation explicitly prohibits a landlord from factoring in someone's source of income when determining whether or not to rent to that individual.

But what happens if we do not donate them any money? Our vote gets deleted? I had to move out of my old neighborhood because of these people. It was a nice place to live until some moved in down the street and they started spray painting houses with vulgar words, stealing out of the vehicles in the business lot across from me, tearing the street sign out of the ground, walking the streets at all hours of the night, playing in the street and taking their sweet time moving for vehicles, busting the window out of my car, cussing each other out in the middle of the street, one group not from the street I lived on, threatening the lady that lived down the street from me, etc, etc. Took all I could. Calling the police did not help. So I left the street to those idiots. So quiet where I live now.
