A federal appeals court late Wednesday ruled the Trump Administration can use nearly $4 billion in military funds for construction of the president’s long-promised border wall.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit reversed an earlier decision by El Paso-based U.S. District Judge David Briones that blocked the spending. The latest decision allows the funds to be spent while the case plays out in its appeal.
The $3.6 billion had been earmarked by the Trump administration for construction of 11 barriers on the southern border, CNN reported Wednesday. The original lawsuit was filed by El Paso County and the Border Network for Human Rights, an El Paso-based advocacy group. The Trump administration asked the appeals court to consider the matter on Dec. 16.

Tariffs: doofus, countries don't pay tariffs. Companies importing the goods pay tariffs. As a company, guess what I'm going to do when the price of delivery of my goods goes up,even you may get this..... I'm going to simply increase the price of that good when I sell it. Guess who pays for that increased price.....Now are you catching on?
Trade Deal: Hahaha, ok champ, give me one component of the new trade deal that equates to funds from the mexican government flowing into the US treasury.
Maybe he meant they would send us some other product or service in exchange for the cost of the wall. If so, educate us all and point us to said product or service.

I love how you folks continue to just paper over readily available facts that show how silly this whole wall thing is:
- illegals coming over the southern border are predominantly entering through the legal points of entry.
- construction amounts to a federal land grab of private citizens' property. Just go ask many a conservative land owner on the border
- just like immigrants, drug smuggling is mostly through vehicles entering at legal points of entry

Tariffs hurt the country they are placed on. Sure they are paid by corporations but with higher prices for the goods means the manufacturers are going to have to find a way to keep their product moving at a price the consumer will pay. If the price is too high they go somewhere else this leads to job loss, tax losses etc. Economics is deeper issue than what you want to make it out to be. You are just scratching at the surface and not looking at the deeper issue tariffs cause. You stupidity in economics is showing ... again!

My mother was a naturalized citizen.
She had to pass rigorous vetting procedures.
She was required to pass a written extrance examination, in English. (Not her native language.)
Her family was interviewed, her background was thuroughly investigated. She was fingerprinted and had to pass a medical exam.
Finally, she had to sign a document swearing that she would never become a burden to our government. In other words, she couldn't recieve welfare.
It was a great honor for her to become an American.
It's never expressed but, what a great disservice it is to legal immigrants to see illegal aliens handed everything on a silver platter.
A nation without borders ceases to be a nation.
