A Comment Worthy Of A Post 1-7-20

Special thanks to Shane Baker and everyone that has shown support for the Deputies injured in the line of duty. For a Deputy to openly show support and not conceal his identity while making his comments I felt compelled to share my story to let everyone know how I was injured. My injury occurred while I was rendering aid to a lady trapped inside an overturned vehicle following an auto accident.

The injury I suffered dramatically changed my life forever and left me needing multiple surgeries to walk again and attempt to reclaim my independence. After my first surgery I was told that I would not walk again without the assistance of crutches, a walker or a cane unless I had a second surgery. I am now going through the process of of healing and walking with pain & limitations. I am thankful that I am able to walk again. In my career for the past 29 years I've faithfully served the citizens of Wicomico County.

I'm sure many, many, many deputies of the Sheriffs Office are watching this story. I compel you to come to the next FOP meeting. DONT ASK, DEMAND your FOP Board start becoming vocal in our community about what's going on here. What are you deputies waiting for. YOU COULD BE THE NEXT ONE HURT! Someone please post the next meeting and time. Thank You! If they refuse vote the current leadership out.

It appears moral at the Sheriffs Office is completely in the crapper. Nice job Admin. Just keep watching YouTube all day.

Sheriff Lewis would MSP treat their injured troopers like you treat your deputies? i know not for a fact, your a pos. You should have been indicted with your interdiction friends down south remember you got lucky. Some know of all your skeletons. Maybe next election dark will come to light.

So I ask you.....
Why dont you see the Sheriff on the news bashing the County for not being there for his men? Is it because he doesn't want anything to get in the way of the new Sheriffs Office?
Why dont you see the FOP on the news about this?
Hmmmmmm....
I actually believe this to be the last stand. If the deputies dont pull together its over!
Hmmmmmmm...

Here is a classic example of the lack of common sense in the Admin at that office...

Saturday night (busy night)- 3 deputies working, one dispatcher.
Tuesday night (slow night)- 7 deputies working, three dispatchers.

And this happens over and over again. It’s madness. But nobody cares.

Somebody cares brother, someone cares believe that! Stand by!

Sounds to me like the guy who determines the schedule isn’t very bright. How much money does he/she make a year?

I guess everyone in light duty should work every weekend then. That would help.

You went to work at a job long enough to call it a career. Get off the pedestal. You didn't "serve" anybody. You just went to work everyday for a paycheck like everybody else. You were working for that golden pension and not for any "altruistic" reasons. You were just counting the days. Now you are on worker's comp, or retired on that government pension. Sorry you got yourself injured on the job. Nobody injured you. That "line of duty" crap is BS. You guys can sprain your ankle and call it a line of duty injury. It's a bit overused. Everybody that is injured on the job is injured in the line of duty.
