Transgender weightlifter’s gold medal sparks new debate

A women’s rights group demanded action after a transgender weightlifter dominated a recent tournament and is free to compete at next year’s Tokyo Olympics.

The controversy stems from Laurel Hubbard’s performance at the Games in Samoa earlier this month, where she won two golds and a silver in three of the women’s heavyweight categories.

Women’s rights groups say that Hubbard, who competed for New Zealand in men’s weightlifting before her transition in her thirties, is having an “unfair” advantage against women and shouldn’t be allowed to compete in the Olympics in the women’s category.

New Zealand-based lobby group “Speak Up For Women” called on the country’s Olympic committee and sports minister to “defend women’s sport,” Reuters reported.

For crying out loud, create a transgender category(ies) and set the competitions straight. It's as if we're considering XY and XXY as anomalies, when they're the base standard.

There is no such thing as transgender! You either are a gender or you choose to be another. Those without DNA anomalies need not apply.

That doesn't sound very inclusive of them, now does it?

ironically, while these activists argue that a homosexual orientation is fixed and immutable, they incoherently claim that gender is fluid and changeable. Caitlin Ryan, a gay activist, clinical social worker and researcher at San Francisco State University spoke of this shift in our cultural mindset:

"I think the fluidity of gender is the next big wave in terms of adolescent development… Gender has become part of the defining way that youth organize themselves and rebel against adults."1

In short, a profound deconstruction of gender is taking place within every arena of society that undermines the fundamental order established by God Himself — reflecting the very essence of who He is and who we were created to be. And when God's order is deconstructed and redefined, the consequences for gender, sexuality, individuals, marriage, family, and society are profound and far-reaching.

Transgender means a man that dresses like a woman or a woman that dresses like a man. Just because you dress like a man or a woman, doesn't make you one...

When the sodomites and women began warring the democratic party will fall. Aside from black people waking up to the democratic party plantation they are the two main groups keeping it afloat.

@2:30 there isn't a big enough group to form it's own division. The simpler answer is for them to compete in their own natural biological division but that leaves them defenseless when in other areas people argue transgenders do not really become the sex they emulate. The goal is to force the religious to condone homosexuality/transgender lifestyles (and then to claim after doing so the religious don't really practice their faith) and that makes it difficult.

It will take/require the womyn to take back their sex/gender from these head cases. Otherwise the future of womyn's sports is clear. Guys who can't make it in guy sports will show up with wigs, falsies and skirts to claim all the podium spots. C'mon ladies, retake your heritage.
