Ocean City Jeep Week Kicks Off Thursday

OCEAN CITY – The coastal region will be filled this weekend with Jeeps for one of the area’s fastest growing special events.

Ocean City Jeep Week and its signature early-morning beach crawls are back for summer 2019, bringing thousands of attendees and their Jeeps to fill the resort.

“Ocean City Jeep Week is really all about the Jeeps, the people that drive them, the vendors and the public. Even during setup this week, it became obvious that this is a group unlike any other in the motorsports world,” said event director Brad Hoffman.

As packet pickup started to kick in at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center, Hoffman reporting seeing people from different states all coming together to celebrate the Jeep, its culture and what it means to them.

Are the special event speed limits for this? How many repair orders will be handed out for lifted vehicle, tires pass fender, no mud flaps, and just being modified?

Depends on how many Berlin Rookies at State police in Berlin need to
get promoted

There are two distinct groups of Jeep owners. Those that know what they are doing and those posers that want to be thought cool because they own a Jeep. Like Harley owners. Chris and his team do an awesome job every year with this so kudos to them.

All the reasons you stated are actually non issues, just excuses for more police control

No matter whether you are a jeep owner or a so called "poser", it is still a "special event". Ocean City should be posting the special event speed limits. If not, they are opening themselves up to a discrimination suit.

What is with the Jeep people sticking their foot out on the running board? It’s definitely a “thing”. I’ve seen a dozen people- drivers and passengers, sticking out a fat little foot.

With very dirty toenails.

Rickie and City Hall love Jeeps. Hence no special rules.
