Between 15 and 20 people shot at El Paso Walmart, suspected gunman in custody, Texas Lt. Gov. says

Between 15 and 20 people were shot at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas Saturday morning, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick told Fox News.

Patrick added that a 21-year-old man had been taken into custody. Police had previously said they had received numerous reports of "multiple shooters."

The lieutenant governor did not say how many of the injuries were fatal.

Police responded to reports of an active shooting at the Cielo Vista Mall area shortly before 11 a.m. and asked people to stay clear of the active scene. An El Paso police spokesman told reporters shortly before 1 p.m. that there was no longer an "imminent threat" to the area.

It's time we have a real conversation about responsible gun laws.

About the same number of people died from texting and driving today. Now this is everyday of the year.

The National Safety Council reports that cell phone use while driving leads to 1.6 million crashes each year. Nearly 390,000 injuries occur each year from accidents caused by texting while driving. 1 out of every 4 car accidents in the United States is caused by texting and driving.

Should we outlaw phones or cars????????????

Well ?

thank you, I own guns as well def believe in our rights, but this has gotten out of hand. Some way some how we have all got to get together and come up with something better that will work.

12:48 AM...how about immigration reform and a secure border? Yes, the coward used a military style gun (and ear protection) to perpetrate this heinous atrocity. The gun was merely the tool, the coward was the mastermind based on some demented ideology. Taking human life for any reason is despicable but we are fragile and weak and succumb to irrational impulses.

Here is a suggestion for responsible gun laws:

The government SHALL NOT infringe upon the rights of the People to bear arms against the government when it becomes tyrannical.

How about them apples?
