$8 for a 30-45 minute round trip tram ride? Count me out.
$6 was bad enough.
Greed will kill the Trams.

A lot better other places to go

Even though Maryland has a Republican Governor it appears to me that the State is actually Democrat with talks of raising taxes. Now that is scary since the Eastern Shore has only 2 things going for it - chicken farms and OC. Now taxes

They are only raising fees and taxes because they have run out of money. No other choice!

Ocean City, like most municipalities is a net loss venture. It has to rely on state and federal funds to stay afloat. Our communities have become unaffordable. We have unfunded liabilities, our societal infrastructure is crumbling.
There are simply too many people riding in the cart and not enough pushing anymore. Too many takers, not enough makers. We have reached a productivity critical mass.

Raise the rate to park, raise the rates to ride. Don't come to OC and think the city isn't going to fleece you for every dollar that they can. All to pay overpriced salaries to year round employees in a five month resort town. I quit going there years ago. The Baltimorons can have it. Over 250K people on one 10 mile island is a stupid place to go for a vacation. From what? There is no R&R at a placed that is packed with nowhere to park (except for an exorbitant fee), and lines to spend money to do anything, anywhere on the island. They have commercialized a summer retreat into a monster that is all about sucking every last dollar from your pocket and credit card accounts. Yep, Baltimorons can have it. Actually, they deserve it. It's their monster.
