Do the math. One percent pf the population is over 3 million people as opposed to half of 535 people in Congress.
The problem is that the rest of us are paying all of the taxes.
I think the members of Congress were mostly rich kids already.

Lots of rich "friends" who share money and stock tips, for one.
Campaign donors take care of their "friends".
They are ALL corrupt. They get money from everyone. How do you think Congress has sunk so low?? Both Republicans and Democrats are taking ANY money they can get FROM ANYONE. MOST of Congress should be in JAIL for corruption. The main reason we are talking about COMMUNISM and FULL TERM ABORTIONS.

congress can pass a law, they know about the law months in advance, know the details, and then go support or unsupport businesses long before it passes. they all scratch backs.... and its legal for them........ this is how the communists work. . .
